Winter Welcome Jam
The 10th annual Winter Welcome Jam will be hosted at the park in Winter 2024. At the heart of the jam […]
From the crew who brought you Projekt 50/50 and the Down & Derby Roller Disco comes their newest creation, MONSTER TRIKE NIGHT – Adult big wheel racing with a Monster Truck spirit, American Gladiator personality and WWE attitude. A night of fast pedaling, tires spinning, and big wheel racing!
We all had them when were kids, if you were lucky you had a Rambo themed big wheel or if you were real lucky you had the Night Rider big wheel with the ebrake. You would come around a corner, pedaling your little 7yr old heart out, pull that ebrake and the rear end would spin out.. That feeling of being 7yrs old again on a big wheel will come rushing back to you as soon as you sit in one of our Monster Big Wheels on Saturday August 23rd.
Don’t have a big wheel? No problem, Monster Trike Night has a fleet of big wheels for you to test your skills on as you race head to head against friends, co-workers, and other racers. This is a 21+ event and proceeds of the bar go to BikePGH in an effort to support the good work they do for cyclists and pedestrians of Pittsburgh.
Monster Trike Night invites attendees to test their skills on our indoor flat track on adult big wheels with head to head races, but the real race is against the clock. From 10pm its all time trials, drivers race head to head and against the clock to achieve the fastest track time. Top 12 racers will then race head to head until only one driver is crowned the winner.
HOW MUCH IS IT?
$12 at the door, $6 with RSVP. To RSVP guests are asked to visit www.monstertrikenight.com and fill out the RSVP form
First race is free with entry, then $3 for any additional race. No limit to how many times you can race and deals made on large race ticket purchases. $10 race all night!

Are you a female rider who wants to learn to ride a bike better, for mountain biking or just for getting around town? This is for you!
Karen Brooks is teaching skills clinics for women at The Wheel Mill, every Wednesday evening at 7:30. Women get $4 off admission on Wednesdays, and the clinic is free. (Admission is good from 2-10pm.)
The clinics are beginner to intermediate level (depending on who shows up and what you want to learn).
Likely things to work on:
– the “attack” stance or “ready position” and bike/body separation
– looking ahead
– rolling off drops, then manualing
– going over small obstacles
– cornering
– the pump track
The clinics will last approximately 50 minutes. Hang out after class and use your new skills to shred the park!
Starting next week we will be hosting free commuter clinics with paid admission to the park. Karen Brooks will be teaching every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30pm starting Tuesday, May 27th. Learn skills to maneuver any road. Make your commute a joy ride and build your confidence to hit the open road on your bike!
